Hi everyone! Today is the second to last day for the Summer Blogger Promo Tour hosted by Jessica @The Book Bratz. For those who don’t know what it is, every Sunday I will be featuring another blogger on my blog, a different blogger each week for 7 weeks. On the 8th week, I will be posting a recap of my experience. I think that’s the basic outline of this and without delaying it any more, here’s Flo from Book Nerds Across America!
Hi! I'm Flo from Book Nerds Across America and I'm excited to talk about my ideal library! Here goes:
First, I need couches. And bean bags. Like, all over. Let's relax and be comfy while we read :)
And how about we do THEME rooms?! Like a room of Classics could look like it was a 1930s drawing room. A room for Thrillers and Suspense can have like crime scene tape all around, footsteps on the ground, random "clues" scattered about. And definitely interactive. Microscopes and magnifying glasses and such. The movie room could be a mini-theater, basically. Theater rows in the middle and shelves of movies on the sides. A Romance Room could be pink and have quotes and cheesy 80s and 90s love songs playing quietly in the background. And so on and so forth.
The library would be open 24/7. Because sometimes you can't put a book down! So if you need to stay up til 3 a.m. to finish it, so be it. And definitely a snack bar. With drinks. I'd love a glass of wine with my Jane Austen or some Oreos with my Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.
And what about a play component?! Like every month or every three months, acting groups performed plays?! It would have like different acting "groups" and few months your particular acting group performed a different play. I love it!
Nice carpet. Pretty walls. Actually, walls with quotes. All over. Quotes from books. And one wall is one that you can write on, so you can add a favorite quote at any time.
Yep, I'd be at this library all the time! :)
That was fun -- thank you, Brooke, for having me over today!
This sounds like such a nice library. If this were real, I’ll probably be there 24/7 as well :)
Be sure to come back next week to read my recap of this entire tour and until then, I will have other reviews and posts up soon!
