Royal Delivery (The Royals of Monterra Kindle World) by Rebecca Connolly Genre: Romance Publication Date: January 20, 2016 Format: I was provided with an ebook by the author in exchange for an review. You can purchase it on kindle here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AVNY6PK/ref=docs-os-doi_0 Summary from Amazon: …Then comes marriage… Kat Fiorelli is the queen of Monterra. That was weird, but that’s what you get for marrying the Crown Prince, and when his parents abdicate… Voila! You find yourself on the throne. But with Nico at her side, and running most of the show, she could handle it. Now if their plans for starting a family would kick into gear, she would be much happier with things. But wishing for things tends to get people into to trouble, and Kat is no exception. …Then comes baby in a baby carriage! Pregnancy is no joke, and with it comes all sorts of adventures. Being a pregnant Royal is even worse, since literally everyone is watching. With the pressure of being on the throne, and her impending motherhood, Kat’s fears come to life. Could she meet the world’s expectations, and her own? Would she actually be able to handle this pregnancy on top of everything else? And the most important question of all…would her cravings ever go away? My thoughts: Ok, this is honestly the book I was looking forward to reading the most, because it continues on Kat’s and Nico’s story. *If you have not read the first book (the original one), I recommend that you read that before reading this book. You can find the original book here: https://www.amazon.com/Royal-Royals-Monterra-Sariah-Wilson-ebook/dp/B00QXUN5Y4/ref=pd_sim_351_7?ie=UTF8&dpID=51B5uYHUaaL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_UX300_PJku-sticker-v3%2CTopRight%2C0%2C-44_OU01_AC_UL160_SR107%2C160_&psc=1&refRID=CJ30ZPVJCFFC4AKN5JYN* One thing that I did notice interesting (warning spoilers) is that it states that Lemon is Kat’s sister in law, meaning that this book was set after Royal Chase. I love seeing their interactions together so this book was perfect.
Honestly it is so amazing to see the interactions between Kat and Lemon and how they are handling their pregnancies. The interactions are so similarly written as to the original ones by Sariah Wilson, I probably wouldn’t even have noticed that it was written by Rebecca Connolly. The tone of the original books were captured just perfectly. Battle of the Babies was a brilliant idea. I liked how they were able to turn it into entertainment and deceive the public. I believe that the idea was a total success and was hilarious to read. Lemon is also super awesome. She is like my spirit animal. If anything, I want her life. She’s an amazing publicist, which is not easy to do, is best friends with the freaking QUEEN, and has a hottie for a husband. I like how her mind works, turning every little thing into a publicity event. I really wish we get to read more about Caitlyn (did I spell that right?) and Alex. I don’t think we get to see Caitlyn enough in these books and I think she has a different story than Kat’s. She had a different way to her royalty and her relationship to Alex must be very different, and I personally would love to read their back story and what’s going on in their life whilst all the other events that happens in Kat’s books is going on. I really loved the interactions between all of the characters. Seeing how Nico’s sisters changed since the end of Royal Date is really fun. They each kept their personalities from that book and a lot more was added on. The book seemed to last alot longer than the other books. I liked all the little scenes with each characters, like Serafina’s drawings and the little moments with Rafe. They made the book continue on and I really didn’t want it to end. It was also a really sweet moment where Kat decides on a name for the baby, and also the meaning behind it. The reactions from the rest of the family, especially from Aria. (I will refrain from saying the name, in order to avoid spoilers). You really know when a book is well written when you can literally see the cuteness and the hotness; or basically, the personality of each and every character. A really fun fact about when I was reading this, I was watching that one episode of Friends where Rachel gives birth to Emma so it was like double on the pregnancy thing haha. The last epilogue was really cute too. I never get tired of reading about the hotness of Nico from Kat’s perspective. Their son is so cute and arggg, I don’t have the words to describe that little bag of cuteness. Kat as a new mother is so adorable and I really wish that Rebecca will write a sequel to this AND write a book about Lemon’s views. Ok so most of this review was just me ranting about how much I want to read more and how much I loved it so I’m going to wrap it up. If you were going to take anything away from this post, the only thing you need to know is YOU SHOULD GO READ IT!!!! (Sorry, didn’t mean to scream at you.) Overall, I give the book a 9/10 (which rounds up to a 5/5 stars). It is an amazing book, and I recommend this book to anyone who loved Royal Date and wished that they could read more. One thing to note is that you should also read Royal Chase before you read this one. So what’d you think about this review? Let me know all your thoughts below or on social media.
