Hey Everyone and welcome back to my blog!! Erm...it’s the end of November already...how? So let’s go over a couple things that I managed to accomplish this month.
First of all, I joined in all the fun in NANOWRIMO this month, and man, was that hard. I started the month thinking, ok, so I just have to write about 2000 words a day and I’ll be done way before the end of the month. Well, that was before I realized how hard it was to actually write all those words. To give you a sense, on average, my reviews and posts on this blog is 600-1200 words, and it takes me maybe 20 minutes (for regular posts) and 40 minutes for reviews. Of course this varies, but that’s just the average time. So given my calculations, it should only take 1.5-2 hours a day to write. It seemed like no problem but then school decided to kick in. The only reason that I managed to finish was when I pulled a couple days during thanksgiving break of writing for the entire day and getting it done. It was hard but coffee got me through! One thing that I really wish I got to was to write more reviews and read more this month. I was really counting on Thanksgiving break to catch up on reviews and schedule more posts for December when Final/Semester exams happen but it just didn’t happen. I started the month off strong with reviews, a lot of the books that I read in October but the number just decreased from there. I only read 9 books this month, which is very few compared to the past couple of months, but they were all mostly books that I’ve been putting off reading for so long, especially Sarah Dessen books, and The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson. I also got 22 posts up this month, but there are a ton of reviews and cover reveals. I think cover reveals are my new favorite thing? Don’t worry, I don’t have as many planned for December (but don’t quote me on that just yet). Oh! I almost forgot! I also have a giveaway on my Instagram account for ARENA by Holly Jennings and it ends this Saturday (12/3/2016) so go on over now to enter! There isn’t that many entries so your chances of winning is pretty high! My Instagram is : @thecozylittlebooknook I guess that’s about it for what happened this month, but boy do I have a lot more info for you about December coming up on the first, so if you don’t want to miss that post, be sure to sign up for my email list which you can find it on the side bar on the main page, or you can follow me on social media @BrookeEvans2001 on Twitter and @thecozylittlebooknook on Instagram. I will be back soon with another post very, very soon! On another note, what did you get for Black Friday shopping? Let me know if you want to see what I got (it’s not bookish but still...if you want to see it, let me know!) ~Brooke
