Hey everyone! Remember a while ago when I told you guys about the Book Blogger Creativity Project? Well today is finally the first week we get to carry that out!! So before I actually get to the post, I am going to explain a little bit of what this actually is. First, if you don’t know what BBCP is, here’s the link to Nori’s blog, the creator of this project: Book Blogger Creativity Project. So Team Grey decided to create a weekly meme, that would happen every Friday. There will be a topic for every week along with a list of questions and after this time, anyone and everyone can join us. I am in the process of creating a section on my blog with information and maybe a sign-up form for those who want to join us. So here’s the link to the page where you can find all the information: Classic Fridays. So I guess without anymore delay, here’s my post: How big is your TBR? To be honest, my TBR pile is constantly being added to, so fast that I can’t even keep track of them all. Theoretically, I think I should start using GoodReads to keep track so ...yea. There’s currently no way to tell how big my TBR list really is. What 5 books are at the top of your TBR? 5 books that are at the top of my TBR that I’m planning on reading soon are: -Love and Gelato by Jenna Welsh Evans -The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson -Spells and Sorcery by S. Usher Evans (ARC) -Stranger Weather by Hannah Mathewson -Royal Secret by Marie Long Do you ever dump books off your TBR if you don’t get to them after a certain amount of time? Eh, I don’t usually dump books off my TBR after a certain amount of time. How do you prioritize your TBR? I prioritize my seeing which book I can get my hands on first lol. My TBR list comprises of book I want to read so my list is prioritized by which books I actually have. Can you build a bookish rainbow with your TBR pile? (Bookstagram prompt, use #classicfridays) Go check my instagram for a picture of some books in my TBR pile :) @thecozylittlebooknook Which genre is the most prominent? My favorite genre is YA contemporary so most of the book in my TBR are YA contemporary romance book along with some fantasy/scifi books TBR Spine/Title Poetry (Bookstagram prompt #classicfridays) Again, you can find that on my Instagram, @thecozylittlebooknook (This took me wayyyy to long to create but I’m so proud of myself for it) Which book has the longest time on your TBR? The books that have the longest time on my TBR list are the ones that have been out for a long time just because I usually can’t find them in the bookstores or if they’re not in the YA genre. How does a book make it onto your TBR list? (Do you just throw it on there or make sure it’s something that you will actually read?) All the books on my TBR books are books that I’m pretty sure I will actually read but for the most part, I just throw them onto that list. If I see a book I like, it automatically goes onto my TBR list. What book are you hesitant to read? I don’t actually have a specific book that I’m hesitant to read but the ones that I usually am are the ones dealing with more serious topics like disease or any sci-fi, dystopian books because those are a little out of my reading comfort zone. (I’m working on it though) Books on your TBR list because everyone else seems to have read it. The Hunger Games series are some of the books that’s been on my TBR list for a really long time only because it seems like everyone else has read it. Along with that is the Harry Potter series. Also, don’t forget to go and check out the posts from the rest of the team :)

A Knight with Grace By Laurel O'Donnell Genre: Historical Romance Synopsis: Lady Grace Willoughby defies her father’s orders to marry Sir William de Tracy and escapes with a friend. She has no intention of wedding a cursed man, a man ostracized from the church, a man who would only doom any future children they might have to the fires of Hell. She prays for a knight to rescue her. Excommunicated and outcast for a horrible crime in his past, Sir William de Tracy searches for forgiveness. Marriage has never crossed his mind until Lord Willoughby commissions him to retrieve his fleeing daughter and honor the dying wish of his father by marrying Grace. But things are not as they seem. And when an assassin tries to kill Grace, William must choose between his soul and the woman he has come to love. Can William and Grace overcome their past and find the redemption and love both are so desperately seeking? Author Bio: Bestselling, critically acclaimed novelist Laurel O’Donnell sold her first book, The Angel and the Prince, to Kensington after being a Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart finalist. She has gone on to win many more awards, including the Holt Medallion Award for A Knight of Honor and the International Digital Award for Angel’s Assassin. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Laurel began writing in junior high school when she carried a pen and paper around wherever she went. In college, she took fiction writing classes to further her skill. Her love of the medieval time period led her to work at King Richard’s Faire in Wisconsin where she learned stage combat and sword fighting. ~Brooke Race Girl by Leigh Hutton Genre: YA Romance, Sports Publication: March 31, 2016 Format: I received a copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. You can purchase your copy from Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DOTGU84/ref=series_dp_rw_ca_3#nav-subnav Summary from Amazon: Fresh on the heels of Michelle Payne’s historic Melbourne Cup win, comes a blockbuster Australian story about a Queensland girl and the ‘race that stops a nation’ . . . Tully Athens has always dreamed of following in the footsteps of her hero Michelle Payne. Of living up to the Athens name and becoming the third generation of women from her family to rule the track. But Tully’s never been sure she’s got the nerve, and when her mother is killed in a horse racing accident, her whole world is shattered. Six months later, in the heat of a Queensland summer, sixteen-year-old Tully is ready to face her fears. But getting back in the saddle leads to a whole lot more than she bargained for, with an out of control crush on the boy from their rival thoroughbred farm – the gorgeous but cocky larrikin Brandon Weston – and a forgotten filly with stardom in her eyes . . . When faced with the most difficult decision of her life, will Tully choose to train and race her new filly in Melbourne? Or will she sacrifice it all to fight for love on the land that feeds her soul? It’s only when tragedy rips everything from her that Tully finds a strength and courage she never knew she had, in this action-packed novel of passion, adventure and determination. My Thoughts: It’s August, which means that there’s only 20 days left of summer. It’s so sad that summer passed by so quickly and I didn’t get to accomplish everything that I set out at the beginning of June.
School starts so soon and I am not mentally ready for it yet. I’ll be a sophomore next year (10th grade) and it’s a scary time because everyone has told me that this year is a lot harder than freshmen year. Yesterday I actually went to Half Price Books and got a ton of books. To be exact, I got 10 books and I can’t wait to read them all. I got like 5 Sarah Dessen books, and then a couple other ones. If you want to see a picture of them, go pop by Instagram and give it a follow and I’ll have the picture up on there soon. Anyway, let’s see what’s planned for August. August 5th will be the first week for Classic Fridays, a meme that the Grey team for BBCP came up with. After this first week, anyone can join us, details will be out in the near future. Let me know if y’all are interested :) This month will also be the wrap up for SBPT. I’m actually not sure if the tour is continuing on since The Book Bratz dropped out of the tour but I hope to be able to continue on with the rest of the tour. Anyway, there are still a couple weeks left with the tour and the last week of August will be a wrap up post for the entire tour. I am planning on having at least 2-3 posts up a week this month. Of course one of them will be SBPT and hopefully another one will be for BBCP (Classic Friday). And then I hope to have at least 1 review up a week, provided that I have enough time throughout the week to read and review. Here’s a list of books that I hope to read this month, as well as be able to review. -Crossing the Barrier by Martine Lewis -Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welsh -That Summer by Sarah Dessen -Strange Weather by Hannah Mathewson -Tears of Time by Joel Lawrence & more Also, I’m planning on creating some kind of meme or something like that in the future, so let me know what ideas you may have. Also would you want to see guest posts on here? Tell me who you want to see and if you’re interested, email me at [email protected] or dm me on Twitter. I think that’s about it that’s planned for the month of August. Of course, if you want to be the first to know about news and updates, go over and follow me on Twitter @BrookeEvans2001 and Instagram @thecozylittlebooknook As always, I will have more reviews up and other posts up soon. If you like my blog, please give it a share because it helps a lot :) ~Brooke Email: [email protected] Twitter: @BrookeEvans2001 Instagram: @thecozylittlebooknook Facebook: Brooke Evans |
