If you have been keeping up with my reviews, you may have noticed that about half of the books that I have reviewed are of fairy tales and retellings of Cinderella (and/or other princesses). Yea,... I have just a slight obsession with Cinderella. But don’t worry, it’s completely normal and has a [short] story behind it.
The first fairytale that I read as a young child was Cinderella. I loved how the story goes. A poor girl who loses almost everything is taken in by her evil stepmother and she eventually finds Prince Charming. The original fairytale leaves so much to the imagination and through retelling, many authors have been able to put their twist on it. (I will link all the ones that I have reviewed at the end of this post.) There are so many ways to interpret the story. There are modern versions, future versions, and also ones changed into different cultures. Anyway, this post is a lot shorter than I anticipated but I felt that it was necessary to explain the reasoning behind the number of reviews about fairytale books. As promised, here are the books that I have reviewed on this site, to this date:
So what do you think? Do you guys like the books that I’m currently reviewing? Also, let me know which book I should review next! ~Brooke
