It’s just under a week until Thanksgiving (at least for us in the US) so this week’s Classic Fridays is all about Thanksgiving!! TO be honest, the only thing I really like about thanksgiving is that there is no school and this year, I’m going to take this week to work on Driver’s Ed courses and to write. I’m so far behind on Nanowrimo right now so I’m going to need every minute I have writing. I am looking forward to that week-long break next week!
If you don’t know what Classic Fridays is, here is the page on my blog where you can get more information on it: Classic Fridays. A quick rundown of the project is that this is a weekly meme and anyone can join us in it! As you can probably tell by the title, this week’s post is about Thanksgiving! Which book/author/genre are you most thankful for this year? I’ve discovered that I really love the YA Contemporary genre this year, and I’ve been reading a lot of Sarah Dessen’s books. What’s one book that involves a thanksgiving celebration? Actually, I can’t remember any book that I’ve read recently with a thanksgiving celebration. There probably is one but I just cannot remember which book it’s from. What’s your favorite book to read around this time of year? I love to read about winter romances, and the Olympics, and figure skating and hockey during this season. Especially romances involving figure skating and hockey players at the Olympics. See how I combined it all there? Too high standards? Ok… What do you usually like to drink/eat while reading during this season? I spend wayyy too much money buying starbucks drinks during this season than I care to share (seriously, it’s embarrassing) but I’ve been really loving the Creme Brulee Latte and the caramel Macchiato. Some non-bookish questions:What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish? My favorite thanksgiving dish has got to be mashed potatoes. Our family nevers gets a turkey and so usually the only ‘real’ thanksgiving part of our meal is the potatoes. Do you like/dislike the weather during this time of year? Why or why not? I have a love/hate relationship with the weather. I love how cold it is and it’s a nice change from the scorching temperatures we get here in Texas but also it’s so cold and I really hate having to wear so a thick jacket to school and then the school is like 20 degrees warmer than outside, and I have no place to put my jacket. Yes I know, first world problems right here. What’s your favorite pumpkin flavored item? (can be food or other products like soap) I really like pumpkin scented candles, even though I rarely use candles. I think it’s just the formula of the candles that I usually use that make the pumpkins smell better. What are you most thankful for this year? This is super cheesy but honestly, I’m most thankful for my blog, along with my family and good health. Seriously though, I have put so much time into my blog and everytime I want to give up, I just think of the people who actually read it and that’s what inspires me to keep going. That’s it for the post today! Don’t forget to go and check out the posts from everyone else who posted Classic Fridays posts today! (The links are on the Classic Fridays page) :) Also if you have any suggestions for future week’s or just questions you think would be good, please email them to me at [email protected], including your name and any information so I can be sure to credit you! So what did you think about my answers? Share with me your answers to these questions as well! I can’t wait to read them all! That’s it for this week! Don’t forget to check back on that page and find out more information if you are interested in joining us next week! As always, I will have more posts coming up this week so keep an eye out for that!
