All Laced Up by Erin Fletcher Genre: YA Contemporary Romance Publication Date: October 10, 2016 Format: I received a copy of the book from the author for an honest review. This was in no way shape or form impacted by anything or anyone. You can purchase a copy here: https://www.amazon.com/All-Laced-Up-Erin-Fletcher-ebook/dp/B01LZUDKTF/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1477195421&sr=8-1 Summary: Everyone loves hockey superstar Pierce Miller. Everyone except Lia Bailey. When the two are forced to teach a skating class to save the rink, Lia’s not sure she’ll survive the pressure of Nationals and Pierce’s ego. Not only can’t he remember her name, he signed her bottle of water like she was one of his groupies. Ugh. But if there’s one thing Lia knows better than figure skating, it’s hockey. Hoping to take his ego down a notch—or seven—she logs into his team website under an anonymous name to give him pointers on his less-than-stellar playing. Turns out, Pierce isn’t arrogant at all. And they have a lot in common. Too bad he’s falling for the anonymous girl online. No matter how much fun they’re starting to have in real life, she’s afraid he’s going to choose fake-Lia over the real one... Disclaimer: This book contains a swoony hockey player (and his equally swoony friends!), one-too-many social media accounts, kisses that’ll melt ice, and a secret identity that might not be so secret after all... My Thoughts: We’re moving into the colder weather so this is that time of year where I read a whole bunch of books about skating, winter romances, especially on and off ice ones, and drinking a whole bunch of coffee and hot chocolate :) So to kick off that season, I have a review for All Laced Up by Erin Fletcher! If you missed it, I had a guest post by her yesterday about her inspiration for the book and her writing process. I was really, really looking forward to reading this book when Entangled first announced that they were releasing it. I had never heard of Erin Fletcher, but the plot of the story had my hooked. I had a few complications getting my hands on a copy but no fear, I got it, read it, and wrote this review within the span of hours! This book was absolutely swoon worthy! The romance between Lia and Pierce was so sweet, and developed very tastefully. I love how it started with them hating each other, well actually, just Lia disliking Pierce because of his reputation but quickly finding herself falling for him. There were also the issues of their own respective families, and how they dealt with the situations. I think that most of the problems that were happening between Lia and Pierce was just purely due to luck and fate. It was just their unluckiness that lead to all the conflicting schedules but fate that made them work together, and eventually fall for each other. I liked how Lia used her hockey knowledge to create a second internet personality and make Pierce fall for her both times. It’s a good portrayal of how relationships can be created by technology. The ending was predictable, but again so are all Entangled Crush’s books. I really liked how it was carried out and everything had a more or less happily ever after ending. Now I just want to see more of Lia and Pierce, like maybe when she makes it to eh Olympics and maybe Pierce joins the USA Men’s Hockey team…? I holding out on that thought and hope that it will become true soon! I really enjoy Erin’s style of writing. It’s very easy going, and everything I want from a YA contemporary romance book. I love anything figure skating, hockey, romance and Olympics so this book was the perfect fit for all of that. I look forward to reading more works by Erin. The cover of the book also caught my eye instantly. I’m a sucker for anything on ice so...yea that happened. I give the book a 10/10 (5/5 stars). I feel like I’ve been reading a lot of books that I really like these days. I just hope that it lasts :) If you liked reading books about figure skaters and Hockey players, and small town romances, I recommend the book to you. Like literally, if I were you, I would drop everything and go read the book now! I love the style of the writing and all the characters and the development of the plot. There wasn’t a thing that I disliked. I look forward to reading more works by Erin Fletcher. I love Entangled Crush’s book and they rarely disappoint. What did you think about the review?
